I really appreciate your willingness to compromise to keep the project within our budget. The author says the language is much smoother and she really appreciates the way you ironed out her writing.

A word about costs...
Many editing companies today offer several
levels of service. Basically, you pay more or less, depending on how
carefully you want your paper edited. At some companies, you can
order “basic editing,” or you can get “more-advanced editing,” or
you can order “the best editing possible.” The thinking here is that
by having only the spelling, grammar, usage, and syntax checked in
your document, you can save money. And you will. You will pay a low
price, and you can ensure that your manuscript will not have any
English grammar errors in it.
But what if the manuscript requires substantial changes that you
don’t know about? What if things that seem fine to you will be vague
and unclear to your readers? What if the paper has redundancies that
you overlooked? Or what if the manuscript doesn’t read well because
in some parts the writing is verbose, convoluted, and awkward?
Then, what would happen if an editor took those awkward words and
sentences and turned them into clear and concise prose? What if that
editor made the entire manuscript easier to read and helped you
present your data and conclusions in a much stronger voice? What if
an editor left comments throughout the manuscript, telling you what
you could do to improve the manuscript so that it had a better
chance of acceptance when it reached the journal editor’s desk?
Would that be worth paying for?
If you answered “yes,” then you need to send your work to The
Medical Editor.
Because at The Medical Editor we edit the entire manuscript, from
top to bottom, and we look at everything. So, in addition to
correcting “only the English,” we will rewrite those sections that
are verbose, confusing, or awkward, and we’ll make sure the
manuscript is up to AMA style. We’ll remove redundancies, edit
jargon, ensure proper usage, verify your reference section, and
check your Tables and Figures. We’ll leave informative comments
throughout the manuscript where we think your readers might be
confused, and we'll suggest how you might refocus or add information
to a passage to make it
clearer.
All authors need an editor for one simple reason: Authors write as
authors. They do not write as readers, and as such, they miss
things.
Which is why you need the services of a professional medical editor.
And why you should
contact The Medical Editor today.
